Privacy, cookies and terms

This page explains how Copenhagen Careers handles personal information and how the service may be used. Last updated: 13 August 2026.

PRIVACY NOTICE

How we handle your information

1. Controller and contact

Copenhagen Careers is an independent service operated by Rasmus Julius Hansen in Denmark. Questions or requests about personal data can be sent to hello@copenhagencareers.dk or submitted through our Contact page. Formal business and postal details will be added before commercial operation.

2. Information we process

  • Account information, including name, email address and authentication identifiers.
  • CVs, résumés and previous applications that you choose to upload, including extracted text.
  • Your inferred capability profile, manual skill adjustments, experience and education.
  • Saved jobs, match scores, application stages, notes, contacts and generated drafts.
  • Job-alert preferences and delivery history when alerts are enabled.
  • Company requests and basic technical/security logs, such as IP address and request time, produced by hosting providers.
Do not upload unnecessary sensitive information. Remove civil registration numbers, health information, union membership, political or religious beliefs, photographs and information about other people unless it is genuinely needed.

3. Why and on what basis

Account operation, document analysis, job matching, application tracking and requested exports are processed to provide the service you ask for (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Security, abuse prevention and limited operational logging are based on legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)). Optional job-alert emails are sent only when you actively enable them and can be paused at any time.

The service is not intended to process special-category data under Article 9. If such information is included incidentally, it is not intentionally used as a matching factor.

4. Matching and profiling

The service automatically compares evidence in your documents and settings with job descriptions. It assigns relative capability weights and a match score. You can inspect and adjust the interpreted skills. Scores are recommendations for your own use; they do not decide whether you can apply, are not shared with employers and do not make hiring decisions.

5. Storage and processors

Signed-in account data and private documents are stored using Supabase infrastructure configured in the EU. The website is hosted by Vercel, which processes requests and operational logs. These providers act under their respective contractual and data-protection terms. Job postings and company information are shared catalogue data and are not drawn from private user profiles.

6. Retention

Account information and uploaded material are currently retained while the account remains active or until you delete the relevant document or request account deletion. Security and provider logs may be retained for shorter operational periods set by the relevant provider. A formal dormant-account deletion schedule is being implemented. Do not use the service as your only archive.

7. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and a portable copy of your information. You may also complain to the Danish Data Protection Authority. We aim to respond within one month. Self-service full-account export and deletion are under development; until then, use the Contact page.

8. Security and breaches

Private database rows and stored files use account ownership rules. Connections use HTTPS and secrets are kept outside the public codebase. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. If a breach creates a reportable risk, we will follow applicable notification requirements.

9. Changes

Material changes will be dated here. Where a change materially affects account data, users will be informed or asked to acknowledge the revised notice as appropriate.

Cookies and similar technologies

Anonymous visitors are not currently served advertising or analytics cookies by Job Radar. The service uses strictly necessary authentication and security storage when you create an account or log in. TERMS OF USE

Using the service

1. Purpose

The service helps users discover public job postings, organize applications and create editable drafts. It is an independent information tool and recruitment assistant—not an employer, recruiter, employment agency or legal adviser.

2. User responsibility

You remain responsible for checking every job posting, deadline, match explanation and application document before relying on or submitting it. Generated text may be incomplete or inaccurate. Never submit a draft without reviewing names, dates, qualifications and claims.

3. Job information

Job information comes from public career pages and feeds. Availability, deadlines and links may change without notice. The original employer posting is authoritative. Company names and marks belong to their respective owners and do not imply endorsement.

4. Acceptable use

Do not upload material you are not entitled to use; attempt unauthorized access; introduce malicious content; overload collection services; or use the site unlawfully. Only upload information about yourself unless you have a valid reason and authority to process someone else’s information.

5. Availability and liability

The service is currently an evolving early-stage product and may change or be interrupted. To the extent permitted by law, it is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability, employment outcome or completeness. Nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.

6. Ending use

You can stop using the service at any time. Account deletion is currently handled through a privacy request while self-service deletion is being completed.
